Team Norse is preparing to hit the streets for this year’s Run Norwich, with colleagues from across the business taking on the city’s biggest running event.
As a strategic partner to the Community Sports Foundation, Norse is proud to support the event and have a team of runners representing the organisation on race day. Ahead of the run, we caught up with Team Norse to hear what’s motivating them and what they’re looking forward to.
Hannah Green, Recruitment Consultant For Hannah, Run Norwich has been on her radar since moving to the city.
“Although I’ve never entered before, it’s something I’ve wanted to do ever since moving to Norwich seven years ago. Over the last five years, running has become a big part of my life, and last October I completed a charity challenge, running 90 miles across the month and raising £1,500 for Mind.
“Most of my running is done alone, so one of the things I’m looking forward to most about Run Norwich is being part of something bigger.
“I run for myself, so I won’t be putting any pressure on myself to finish in a certain time. That said, if I happened to come away with a new 10K personal best, I would be happy with that.”
Abi Grand, Personal Assistant to the Directors Having taken part several times before, Abi is no stranger to Run Norwich.
“I decided to sign up as part of the Norse running group because it’s such a good local event and the atmosphere is always great. It’s nice to be part of something that brings so many people together.
“What am I looking forward to most? Probably the refreshments afterwards! Although it will also be nice to catch up with other Norse employees and see familiar faces around the course.
“Run Norwich is also helping me prepare for a busy period of running. I’m taking part in the Round Norfolk Relay shortly after and London Landmarks Half Marathon in April 2027, so this is all good training!”
Sarah Abbott, Associate Director Sarah is preparing for her first official race after being challenged by her family.
“I’m very much a novice when it comes to running. My sons, however, are avid runners, and I have spent many years supporting them at marathons and 10Ks, including Run Norwich 2024. It was there that I jokingly said, “I could do this!” They found this hilarious: “You? Run?” and that was where the challenge began. They said I couldn’t do it… so naturally, I had to prove them wrong!
“I am looking forward to the finish line and hopefully celebrating afterwards with friends, family, and colleagues. More than anything, I am excited to be part of such a great event.”
