Bringing global flavours to secondary school dining
As teenagers grow, their tastes, independence and expectations around food evolve. For parents, knowing that their child has access to nutritious, appealing meals at school is an important part of supporting their wellbeing.
Norse Group’s E3 secondary school menu has been designed with students in mind, combining choice, quality and nutrition to create meals that students genuinely want to eat. With a tempting variety of dishes, E3 gives young people the freedom to explore new flavours while providing the fuel they need to stay focused throughout the school day.
Bringing tastes from around the world into the dining hall, E3 introduces students to different cuisines, cultures and ingredients through a mix of traditional favourites and exciting global dishes. Themed menu days are supported by engaging educational posters and lunchtime activities, bringing each dish to life by exploring the stories behind the food while encouraging curiosity about different cultures and nutrition.
The menu includes a flexible mix of plated meals and street food options, helping schools provide speedy service while giving students more choice. Alongside daily menus, students can enjoy filled jacket potatoes, weekly specials and a daily break menu.

E3 is designed to support balanced, healthy choices, with dishes that are loaded with vegetables to help students enjoy more fruit and veg as part of their daily diet, alongside lean protein options to support growth, development and sustained energy. Flavours are enhanced naturally through the use of herbs and spices, introducing students to new tastes while supporting variety and enjoyment. The menu also provides a wider range of choices, including plant-based options, helping students make informed decisions that suit their preferences and dietary needs. With dishes featuring grains and rice, E3 provides slow-release carbohydrates to help keep students energised and ready for the day ahead.
Freshness and quality are at the heart of E3, with all fresh fruit and vegetables sourced from local suppliers wherever possible. By combining nutritious ingredients, exciting flavours and opportunities to learn about food, E3 helps secondary schools create a dining experience that supports healthier choices and inspires students to try something new.
