Award win at the LACA Awards for Excellence

Norse Group is a proud winner of the Marketing Award at the LACA Awards for Excellence 2024.

The LACA Awards for Excellence recognise individuals and teams who continue to make a real difference in education catering.

The Marketing Award demonstrates the Group’s efforts in promoting school meals, engaging students in food and nutrition education, increasing meal participation, changing perceptions, and championing the standards of quality school food, thereby making a significant impact in the education catering sector.

Clare Jordan, Catering Marketing Manager, and Education Account Managers Amanda Cooper, Cira Leeder, and Sharon Simpson received the award on the night.

In addition, Norse Group won five awards at the LACA Finishing Touches culinary competition.

Judged by the Craft Guild of Chefs, LACA’s Finishing Touches showcases craft skills among chefs. Norse Group catering employees Donna Amiteye, Nikki Barnard, and Tania Machado received recognition for their innovative desserts, picking up gold, silver, and two bronze medals and merit.

Melanie Hides, Head of Catering, commented, “We are absolutely thrilled with the results. They are a testament to the talented individuals we have working in our kitchens and demonstrate the high standards we are able to deliver in our schools.”
