With the unpredictable world of energy procurement showing little signs of changing, the Norse Group has engaged with local Norfolk-based Energy Specialists Indigo Swan for brokerage and consultancy services.

Having undertaken a review of both Electricity and Gas supply pricing and route-to-market options, the strategic decision was made to tender the opportunity of brokerage services in early October 2023.

Indigo Swan was successful following both a bid and presentation stage and will provide guidance on procurement routes, supplier engagement, and Bill Validation services. The contract, signed on 20 December at the Indigo Swan Norwich offices, commenced in January 2024.

Head of Group Procurement Simon Bullimore said:

“Indigo Swan demonstrated both a balanced and data-led approach within this volatile market, meaning not only can we feel more comfortable with our energy procurement, but we can also confidently say that we are procuring energy effectively and compliantly. We also hope to be able to offer this service to our clients when requested.”

Aimee Konieczny – Indigo Swan Commercial Director, added:

“The entire Indigo Swan team are delighted to have the opportunity to work with Norse, a fantastic Norfolk brand. We’re thrilled to be able to support Norse on all energy matters, from procuring the best value electricity and gas contracts to supporting their journey towards net zero.”

The brokerage contract is in place for five years and will cover the Group’s electricity and gas requirements across all its responsible sites. Indigo Swan will likely contribute to ongoing utility strategies, potential investment in renewables, and our ongoing carbon-zero plans.
