Across the East of England, several businesses have been invited to support an upcoming regional event in partnership with the Forces Transition Group (FTG). This is a great opportunity to connect with talented individuals from the Armed Forces, blue light services, and the wider service community.

This skilled group of people can bring a huge range of highly sought-after attributes to the workplace, from leadership and problem-solving, to resilience, teamwork, and adaptability. By working with the FTG, businesses have the chance to tap into this incredible talent pool, while also playing an important role in supporting people as they transition into civilian life.

The event will take place at the Royal Norfolk Showground on 27 January 2027 and will bring together a number of organisations looking to support skills, employment, and inclusion across the region. Norse Group is proud to support the FTG in helping people take this next step, while also working with companies to create meaningful employment opportunities and more inclusive workplaces.

Organisations taking part will have the opportunity to:

• Connect with potential future employees
• Learn more about the benefits of hiring from the service community
• Be part of a regional initiative that supports skills, employment, and inclusion

This is a chance for businesses across East Anglia to make a real difference, both by strengthening their own teams and by supporting people as they move into the next chapter of their careers.

To hear more about the partnership, watch our special edition podcast, where Norse Group’s SHEQ Director, Roger Smith, is joined by John and Mandy Stephenson from The Forces Transition Group. They discuss the partnership between the two organisations, the support available to service leavers and members of the armed forces as they transition into civilian life, and how businesses can get involved. The conversation also explores the value of recruiting from the armed forces community and how the right support can help people take their next steps into meaningful work.
