With the aim of improving road safety and helping to maintain high standards of driving, if you are a professional lorry (over 3.5 tonnes), bus or coach driver you must complete Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) training. This ruling applies to licence categories C, C1, C+E , C1+E and D, D1, D+E, D1+E.
You are required to complete 35-hours of JAUPT approved periodic training every five years to keep your DCPC. In order to meet this legal requirement, as part of a JAUPT approved consortium, FLTS offer the following periodic training course (7-hours each):
- Driver Regulations and Driver Towing
- Manual Handling and Safety of Loads on Vehicles
- Spill Kit and Vehicle Fire Safety
- Eco Driving
- Safety Awareness
- Emergency First Aid for Drivers
- Winter Service Operations
