The design provides a state of the art facility for primary, secondary and post-16 students. Learning spaces are bright, well thought out and based on the philosophy of small group – family based learning; all learning spaces also have an adjacent outdoor class area.
The school has a therapy wing that include facilities such as:
- hydrotherapy hot pool
- sensory suite with a soft play area, multi-sensory room and sensory integration room
- three specialist rooms for therapists
- dedicated meeting area for parents and professionals.
The outdoor facilities of the new site are well thought out to enable a large variety of activities. The space includes dedicated primary and secondary play areas and a bespoke play hill for all pupils.
Various sustainable technologies serve the building, including a Ground Source Heat Pump borehole system, Solar PV and a dedicated Combined Heat and Power plant for the hydrotherapy pool.
