Police officers who have died in the line of duty were remembered last month, as West Yorkshire Police’s headquarters turned blue to mark National Police Memorial Day.
The illumination was arranged and installed by Norse Infinity in conjunction with West Yorkshire Police’s Estates Department, as public buildings were lit up across the country on Sunday 26 September in honour of police officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
And following the powerful impact of the symbolic tribute, West Yorkshire Police is now set to continue using the lighting for further special occasions.
Norse Infinity Operations Manager, Edward Hunt, helped to oversee the installation – which was carried out as part of Infinity’s corporate social value responsibilities – and was full of praise for his team’s voluntary efforts to make it possible.
“We were pleased to help support West Yorkshire Police in organising this fitting tribute, with the illumination serving as a timely reminder of the extraordinary efforts police officers make to keep our communities safe, often putting themselves in harm’s way.
“All the lighting and labour we supplied in setting up the illumination was provided free of charge, and we have been delighted to hear how positively it has been received by the local community.”
