The Norse Group has been awarded the prestigious RoSPA Silver award at the first attempt in recognition of its practices and achievements in helping its staff, customers and contractors get home safely at the end of the working day.

The RoSPA Health and Safety Awards are the longest-running industry awards scheme in the UK. They receive entries from organisations around the world and recognise achievement in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

Roger Smith, Head of Health and Safety, is delighted the Group had achieved the Silver award at the first attempt, previously Norse Commercial Services alone held the GOLD award, but the award now covers both NPS Group and NorseCare.

Norse’s Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Director, Jamie McDonald, said: “We will continue to build on the very many initiatives across the Group that have already been implemented around protecting the long-term health of our colleagues up and down the country will continue to be built on.

“Everyone deserves to be kept safe at work and go home at the end of the day. Every person in the Group has contributed to this award by working safely every day they come to work.

“It is our aim to go further and make the Norse Group a Gold award recipient in 2021.”
